Volunteers
We are looking for people who are flexible, motivated, and enthusiastic about teaching children and working with the public. Being an Education Teaching Volunteer is a positive way to influence children through hands on learning and educational dialog.Some volunteers work with classes in specific halls, others work with rolling carts which contain objects or specimens related to the exhibition themes. Volunteers do not work from scripts they combine their life experiences with training they receive at the Museum. Training includes the natural sciences, anthropology, museum education, and management. Teaching Volunteers collaborate, work in teams, and mentor one another. Minimum volunteer requirement is four hours per week.
If you are ambitious and ready to use your experiences and imagination to enhance young peoples' lives, you are ready to be an Education Teaching Volunteer. Previous teaching experience is not required we will train you.
